What is PBIS?

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive systems approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.

PBIS builds on the positive behaviors already working in each school. These behaviors then become expectations that are taught and practiced school-wide.

Here at Pauly, we have five school-wide expectations:

  1. Be responsible
  2. Be respectful
  3. Be cooperative
  4. Be ready to learn
  5. Be safe
